The Mesa Yellow gaillardia is beautiful and bright, but it's the perfectly matched crab spider that really caught my attention.

I love Echinacea...and this shot almost captures one of my favorite things about them: their texture. Look at the pattern created by the disk flowers in the center. Isn't that amazing?

Those photos are beautiful. I'm amazed at the match of the first flower and the spider. I might have missed him if you hadn't mentioned it.
Beautiful pictures!! I especially enjoyed reading the post about your snake eggs!! Interesting information!! And, had I felt a muscular sensation in my hands while scooping mulch. .I would have peed my pants. .and probably fainted :-) I would just as soon see my snakes, than feel them!!
