There was a movie made about the book a few years ago which was very good, too, but (as usual) I think the book was much richer.

We raised tropical fish for many years and had quite an array of tanks. We got rid of them when our daughter was a toddler out of fear that she would pull one over on herself, then never really got back into the hobby again. I agree wholeheartedly that I prefer providing habitat, but letting the animals take care of themselves otherwise!Gaia Gardener:https://www.blogger.com/profile/00692281131036600613noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24376388.post-32058805262077604242014-12-30T10:49:23.548-08:002014-12-30T10:49:23.548-08:00Thank you for this introduction. I just gave up my 55 gallon fish tank (so I could migrate to Cedar Key). I've had it for nearly 30 years and although I miss it, I am so happy not to have anything in a cage. I hope to dig a small pond in the garden instead for frogs to come and go as they please.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24376388.post-21027944937118120062014-12-29T17:44:34.250-08:002014-12-29T17:44:34.250-08:00It sure sounds good.
